Hello!!

Here is a new sound library “EDM Expansion” for MOTIF XF / MOXF.
This includes 32Voice and 4Performance of the latest EDM sounds: Progressive House, Uplifting Trance and Dubstep. It is my first release of the official sound library from Yamaha.

A question.
The manual of this Expansion says:

Important note:
By loading the All-file all current USER data in the MOXF / MOTIF XF are overwritten.
User Waveforms and Samples already stored in the Flash Memory are not overwritten.
If you haven’t backed up your USER data yet, you should do so now (File Type „all“ -SAVE).

Why does it delete all?
I mean there are 32 voices and 4 performances.
I could understand that it just deletes 32 voices and 4 performances.

Songs and patterns are untouched?

I want to add this pack without losing anything.
On my Flash RAM (1024 MB) there is nothing,
but on the internal flash there are many USR Performances (by Yamaha)
and some USR voices.

An “All” file contains all of the User data that was in the Motif the file was made on. If you load the file as Type “all”, it will overwrite all of the User data in your Motif. All User Voices, Performances, Songs, Patterns, etc., will be overwritten.

If you don’t want that to happen, then you can selectively load things individually. See Loading a File in the XF Reference Manual, beginning on page 242, through page 247.

I’d suggest that you first save your own data to a backup “All” file. See pages 241-242 of the Reference Manual. Then try loading a single Voice, Song, or Pattern from it to an unused or unimportant (to you) location in an XF bank, and verify that it does what it should. That way you’ll know that the file you saved works as expected and that you understand more about the file system.

We need to buy TouchOSC on Apple Store and after, there is the RMXF “skin” include or does we need to done/download something else ?

RMXF is not included in TouchOSC.
And please try the following procedure.Thank you.

1. Download the “RMXF.touchosc”

2. Connect the iPad and Mac to the same Wi-fi network.

3. Download and install the TouchOSC Editor to Mac.

4. Start the TouchOSC Editor and open the “RMXF.touchosc”

5. Click the “Sync” button of TouchOSC Editor.

6. Start the TouchOSC of iPad and tap “Add” in the Layout screen.

7. Please connect the iPad and MOTIF XF / MOXF.

As for the connection between iPad and MOTIF XF,
I confirmed the RMXF could work with i-MX1 and mi.1.
