Just a heads up - Steinberg has just released a 400-preset sound library of vintage synthesizers for Retrologue, the virtual analog synth included
in the most recent full versions of Cubase.

I am the programmer of the sounds, so you know they’re great...:). Sounds
include all the “vintage synth hits” like Jump, the Who sounds, sounds from ELP, Gary Numan, Pink Floyd, Kraftwerk, Madonna, Duran Duran, Devo, Journey, Loverboy, Human League, and many more.

Is there a comprehensive patch list somewhere or what I’d really like to know is what other “famous song” patches are included. It seems like a tremendous value. Finally, please confirm that you do not need Cubase to use this as a VST.

Cant give you a complete program list, sorry.

And for your second question..you need to
have the full version of Cubase, which includes
Retrologue.

No. Only works within Cubase.

Greetings, Dave.  My name is John, and I’m new to this forum.  Nice to meet you!

Just wanted to say GREAT JOB on this collection.  I took a chance and picked it up awhile back and I have to say I’m really impressed!  Worth every penny.

Just when I start thinking I can get by without bringing my laptop to the stage, you just HAD to go and make me change my mind again…

As usual, great job, DaveP. Just getting set up with Cubase 7.5 and learning to use VSTs. Just might need this sound set in my library.

Hi all.
I just picked up a Muse Receptor 1.0 and was wondering if this sound set can be used with it.
I’m looking for a soundest similar to the Vintage Keys set I am running in my MOX.  Does such a thing exist?
Thanks!

No, because it is a Retrologue library only.
And Retrologue only works as a VSTi inside
Cubase...there is no “separate” version of it.

Dave,

I am picking up a copy of cubase 8. Is your vintage sounds included in
the artist version or only the full version? I really like your work on this vst.

Thanks,
Mike

I believe the sounds are included. Please contact Steinberg to make sure.

Hi,

Just an FYI for everyone, Retrologue is now available for use as an AU within Logic Pro x and Mainstage. I picked it up last week as well as the two DCP Productions Voice Libraries. Sounds awesome!

Ben
