Please Help

Im runing Win XP Professional 34bit (Intel Core Duo CPU ), Asus Motherbroad, Sonar 8.5 Producer,Mackie Onyx Satellite Station, Along with a MM6 keybroad.

I recently had my computer crash on me and I’ve just got my system back up and running. Everything has reinstalled fine with the exception of one thing. I downloaded the yamaha USB/midi driver fine but when I went to install them I got an Error message. (Error 25001.No device is connected. Connect a device, and try again. If the “Found New Hardware” wizard appears, push the “Cancel” button.)

My computer will not install the drives because it not registering the USB connect. Nor is my computer even showing that my MM6 is connected.

I’ve run “regedit” to see if their were any error message under Drivers 32 like another posting suggested but there weren’t any.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to the forums!

We are pretty sure the “34-bit” computer is a typo, but we are not sure if you wanted to type 32 and missed the 2, or you meant to type 64 and missed the 6.

:-)

That and the exact Yamaha USB-MIDI version are critical information that you have left out. Make sure you have the proper driver for your “34-bit” Er, 32 or 64 bit computer - yes it makes a difference.

Go to http://download.yamaha.com

Select your country
In the “Search by Model Name” area type in: MM6

You can narrow your seach by also selecting your computer OS.

you want the Yamaha USB-MIDI Drivers that best match your computer - the most recent are listed first (2012)

Thanks for the timely response!
Yes, you are correct regarding the 34 bit it should have been 32. (sorry)

The driver I’m trying to install is the USB-midi Driver for Windows 7/Vista/XP (V3.1.2);2000 V2.3.2 32bit.  Last Updated 2012
(or other wise listed as um3122x86)no sure which one your in need of.

Please let me know if there is any other information you need.
