I do not understand what sending initial setup does.  I sent my set up to a midi track on cubase and I see data show up on the track but I don’t know what kind of data is being sent and how to use it.

Initial Setup is the data you have or want at the very beginning of the SONG. Say you want to have a Flute in PART 1, an Electric Piano in PART 2, a Bass on PART 3, etc., etc. And you want the Flute at a volume of 120, the Electric Piano at a volume of 100, and the Bass at a volume of 97, this type of data is your initial setup… basically, how you want the mix to sound at the start of the song. The Initial Setup.

You can store this data at the very top of the Cubase song, by recording it into a track before you start playback of your music data you can ensure that when the file plays, a Flute is in PART 1 at a volume of 120, the Electric Piano is on PART 2 at a volume of 100, and so on.

Thank you for the reply.  so basically I could record enable each track, set up all the settings for each voice on my panel, hit record, send the initial set up and the every time I play the tracks back they will send that same setup back to my keyboard?  If I follow you this is great because this would be a great way for me to set up the channels on my mm6 since it doesn’t seem to be doable from the panel.  Do you know if the setup data will be visible in the settings of the keyboard or does it just control the settings during the playback?(basically what is heard rather than seen) ?
