I had loaded a bunch of songs I created I think using all song and was able to call them up when needed. Recently I saved to the drive a couple of performances. Now I can’t find on the drive the songs nor does the “song” or “all song” prompt show. What does this mean and have I lost the songs that were saved??

It does not mean anything necessarily - other than you have not yet figured out the FILE function. When you create a file you have to KNOW, what Type of file you have created. Each File is given an extension that identifies what the FILE TYPE is.
If you made an ALL SONG file on a Motif ES it would have an extension = .W7S
If you had saved an ALL data file = .W7A
We are not sure what you mean when you talk about “I saved to the drive a couple of performances” The words do not tell us what exactly you think you saved. You did not overwrite anything because the FILE would have prompted you and asked if you were sure you wanted to OVERWRITE the data. PERFORMANCE as in the mode, do not get SAVED to ALL SONG files (obviously) SONGs can be loaded to the sequencer only when you are in SONG mode. We are not at all certain what you are attempting to load or what it is you think you have lost. But in general you should be in the mode that you want to work with when you seek to load data. Learn your FILE extensions and what they mean - they can help you. Until you learn them you should only use the ALL data file because it saves ALL YOUR DATA and you are less likely to make a mistake about where you saved something. Later when you learn what the file types SAVE and more importantly what they do not SAVE you can branch out. Hope that helps. |

Mount the USB drive on your computer and take a look at what files are present. |
