I recently picked up an Axiom 25 and am a newbie to MIDI. The axiom comes with 128 different midi sounds (piano, organ, strings, etc) and I am currently using GarageBand to mess around, but am wondering what program would I need to get on the Mac in order to hear the native sounds from the Axiom 25 (m-audio)?? Thanks |

The Axiom has no native sounds. It generates MIDI data only, no audio. I assume you are referring to some General MIDI software that came with it. That is software creating audio on your computer. In GarageBand:
-- open a new song and create a software instrument track if needed
>>>>> If your M-Audio software CAN be used in Garage Band, you should see it listed under Audio Unit modules...select it. Under Sound Generator, select the sound picker (bottom) to select the 128 sounds. >>>>> If your M-Audio software can NOT be used in Garage Band, you will NOT see it listed under Audio Unit modules |
