I have a very strange problem
i prepare my set a couple of midifile with Ableton

i using the usb Port “mac book Air” to send midi from ableton to MM6 or MM8
and sometimes my yamaha crashed , impossible to restart
only solution switch off the power!
i have the same problem on my MM6 and MM8

Have you downloaded and installed the MIDI USB Drivers on the Computer?....>>>

If you want to test a different file (prepared elsewhere) to see if your MM6 or MM8 can play it properly try downloading the file from the following link:

If your MMs can play it, then you can conclude the problem is in the file that you created with Abelton (at least it will narrow it down to that)… Let us know.

Just testing your files is ok with Ableton but i have always the problem
the synth crash “freeze”

concerning my Files, just need your point of view about, Bank setting;
in Ableton this is my setting to control sounds part

Bank:none
sub bank :none
Program 1 to 127

is it correct?

May be an issue....
just don’t connect the midi in
