That’s interesting to hear. Ironic timing that the PS/2 mouse on my “music production PC” has ceased functioning properly. I’ll probably just give in and purchase a USB one.

Looks like I won’t be doing any more music tonight. *sigh*

Some new additions. Enjoy.

BTW, just an idea but this thread would be much more efficient if each poster maintained their own music thread. I’m consolidating all of my work here.

Very interesting music.
Some of your songs remind me of the early Kit Watkins.

Thanks for the feedback. Kit Watkins? Never heard of him, so I checked out a tune of his on YouTube called Labyrinth which had a cool jazz/prog sound. Interesting.

Just renovated and finished.

You better look at http://www.kitwatkins.com/
and then especially the free loadable CD’s (he made 27 in 27 years).

With my music, there is no high-end production going on, so there’s nowhere for the song to hide. Therefore, I work harder to emphasize strong melodic content, harmonic structure, good bass lines, et al. in order to make an impression.

Anyone can learn to make things which sound professional, but not just anyone can make a great tune. While my thread has been ignored by-and-large by the majority of the regulars here, I’ll simply say that I find it more amusing than insulting and leave it at that.

Mmmm....
I got hardly more responses to my song posts than you,
but I enjoyed the serious ones.

You mean criticism? It depends, really. Take criticism with a grain of salt. If there’s one thing I’ve heard oft repeated in the music industry, it’s that anyone who’s going to make something of themselves had better develop a thick set of skin. I don’t need to patronize you; you’re intelligent enough to readily discern constructive criticism from downright insults or wishful thinking.

My feeling is if anybody wants to criticize my work, fine. Be my guest.

About your work, I haven’t heard too much of it but I’ll check out your latest and post my thoughts.

EDIT: Err, I just sifted through several pages of your posts but they involved technical questions for the most part. Haven’t you posted anything? Oh, as an aside, I had you confused for someone else who posted a song awhile back which I compared to BGM to a Columbo. Go figure.

“video game music” is just a poor description of what you do.
It is much more.

I don’t like them all (as a customer) but a few I put on my MP3 player.
