I’m sure this has been asked before, but I searched the forum, but couldn’t seem to find my answer.  Is there a chart somewhere that lists the sample load times for all the Motif series (except the classic)?  This would be helpful to me to compare all 3.

Motif ES
- via SMC
- via USB
XS
Motif XF (the initial load to flash)

Thanks in advance.

You might include the Motif (Classic) that had only SMC.

As for as I know:
The SMC on the ES was as fast as the SMC on the Classic,
the USB on the ES was about twice as slow,
the XS and XF are equipped with a faster USB (and no SMC).
I can’t tell you how much faster, but keep in mind that
the ES overall was not faster than the Classic.

To store a complete 1 GB of samples to Flash takes about 20 minutes ( the writing/erasing process is slower that RAM) , but once this is done once you never have to do it again.  This key to understanding Flash. If you had a 512 MB file on the XS , it takes approximately 4 minutes to load. But you have to load it every time you turn on the machine.

Df.
