Wow! The XF looks awesome! I have pre-ordered my XF8 from Guitar Center. Can’t wait until September! Best part about getting this Yamaha workstation will be having Yamaha and Bad_Mister offering their expertise. I’m not sure every one realizes the incredible forum we have here. ONe of those..."count your blessings” kind of thing with a half full cup. |

I did better with Sweetwater on my XS-7 but maybe I just got lucky. |

I think it rather rash to commit yourself to a price at this time. If you’ve shopped Guitar Center at all you know that Labor Day is fast approaching. And they really push product on Labor Day. I bought my XS 8 on Labor Day a few years ago for what I consider an ungodly price- several hundred dollars less than it’s list price. Patience would really serve you well… If it’s not released by Labor Day, I’d wait for the next big holiday- Thanksgiving or the December Observance of the Lord’s Birthday… |

ps- they regularly give discounts of 10% to 20% or more. That could be close to $700 dollars off… Think about it! |

Which translates to what in us dollars? Just ten days ago the xs8 was going for $3200. I figure that $3500 is probably within a couple of hundred of the best price & it is right by my house. Anyway, the last keyboard that I bought was 20 years ago, an Ensoniq. KS32’ the one 10 years before that was Rhodes and before that a Farfisa 600 double manual w/bass pedals. Can’t wait to hear that Farfisa voice on the XF! |

At today’s exchange rate, using the prices quoted below:
XF8: £2,921 = $4,656.60
It’s pretty expensive, but don’t forget though that this includes the VAT (which I suspect is higher than the US sales tax) Df. |

Hey! After using my excellent SY99 since 1992, which I bought new for $4000, I just preordered my new Motif XF7 yesterday at Andy’s music in Mobile AL. (I live in TN). Can’t wait for delivery!!!!!!!!!! Wah-hoo!!!!! BTW- I’m still using the SY99 in the recording studio here as we speak, Look for a You Tube vid on it soon! TB |

Don;t forget the XF8 does not come with the FW option which will cost a couple hundred more if you are using MLan. |
