Will we see an upgrade to the MO line as well? That would be pretty darn great

I’d be surprised. AFAIK the MO series is based on the ES.

The XF is not out now! Yamaha will not make a upgrade for the MO6/8.
The MO6/8 is a downgrade of the Pro-board Motif es of 2003. This maybe the last upgrade and update for the XS.
2yr from now we may see a downgrade of the XS/XF.
The way I see it the ES, XS, XF are all upgrade of the MO6/8.
If you wait to next month Yamaha will give a trade up upgrade to the XF.
The price of the XS will go down when we see the XF in stores.
