I have been asking the same question for years to the Yamaha team in regards to the Micro Tuning and never got a clear answer.

Does the Motif XF support Micro-Tuning as a Global feature? This is a very important feature and it is a good selling point for people who play middle-eastern music.

The Global Micro-tuning should be able to apply scale tuning in both Voice and Performance. For example, if in Global mode user wants to change scale then it should reflect the changes in Voice and Performance modes.

It should be easy to send a Sysex msg to change the scale to the Global mode. Why Yamaha does not want to support this feature?

Another idea, Yamaha can implement an option in Global mode to apply the scale to All (voice and performance)internal and user or just for USER/Internal sounds.

Kelfar, I have wi=ondered the same thing… It’s a shame that they don’t have it.. I have a MO6, and I play Serbian - Eastern European music.. Very similar to Greek/Turkish/Middle Eastern..

I want to harmonize my voices (what we call “TERCE").. But I have not found anything that I can do that with..

the Motif has beautiful voices, but can someone update us on this please???
