Let’s say I have a sound I want to add (import) to my motif xs6, is this possible? Importing sounds I have from FL studio for example?

There are two main ways to replicate the sounds from other synths on the XS.

Firstly, you can program the XS yourself using a preset wave or waves as a starting point and then building the sound until you have something similar to the original.

Secondly, you can sample the sound from the source synth and assign this waveform to a voice in the XS. Samples are ‘fixed’ in many ways though, so any ARPs, EGs, LFOs or other ‘dynamic’ content will be recorded at a fixed speed.

You can combine the two approaches too of course. Sample the original sound without the ARPs, LFOs etc. and add these seperately on the XS.

Thanks dream flight. Is there any documentation or videos on this? I would really like to see what this bad boy can do.

P.S. If its in the manual please let me know what page. I left it in NYC and I’m in Idaho at the moment, so I would ask my co-worker to scan the page(s) to me. Thanks
