Every time I change between Voices or Performances, the new one comes in at killer levels. I have to pedal it all the way to zero then bring the pedal back up to the same position for the transition to sound smooth volume wise. That is just so hard to do consistently well in a live situation. I’m using the FC-9 as a controller into the assignable pedal #1.

I got the FC-9 thinking it would make things less hectic “hand-wise”, but if the sound sucks, where’s the benefit? I’m thinking of just going back to using the 4 faders or master volume fader for this.

Can anybody here suggest anything else?

Thanks!

(Motif Classic here. Does sig not display on this new forum?)

I have the voices I use live in USER banks or as Mixing voices in Pattern mode, and have them volume matched so I know what I’m about to get when I switch. I used to use an FC7 pedal just exactly as you described it, but have since fallen back (resorted to?) manual control on the device itself.

No right or wrong way - I guess whatever works for you.
