Will the Vintage Keys Voice Library on a Smart Media Card Load into a MO8 with a USB Smart Media Card reader?

Yes and yes.  (Just make sure that you have the ALL VOICE or VOICE EDITOR files that contain the vintage keys voices on the SmartMedia card.)

Brad ... So I Insert my smart media card into my original Motif,
Save the Vintage sounds to an all file ...
Then Use my USB smart card reader and load the Vintage sounds into my MO8 as an all file ....Will this wipe out my other sounds.
A step by step process would really be helpful. Thanks!

You simply drag the TWO files onto your Smart Media card, insert
that in your MO and follow the loading instructions in the manual.

Yes, loading the ALL file will overwrite anything you have in your
USER banks and your Performance banks. It’s a good idea to back up
you current contents before you load Vintage Keys.

Dave, you mention backing up current contents of USER banks. I tried to follow instructions from manual to load a USB 512mb flash memory stick with my current contents but I’m not sure it worked. I’d hate to load a new sample flash memory and wipe out what’s there for good. Can you give me steps to save user banks onto a flashdrive for an ES8? Any help is very appreciated!
