Greetings All. For some reason I can’t get my midi keyboard to produce sound in the editor. I have the midi kb in set to, remote sl in port 1, and usb device is set to motif-r xs and the midi out port 1 is set to xs rack port 1 midi out xs port 4. When I hit the keys the notes light up in the editor but no sound, if I use the mouse to hit a note, the sound is there. Someone please help, thanks in advance Tony |

‘kb’ is keyboard… what is ‘sl’? and what is ‘remote sl’? If you have the Motif-Rack XS connected to your computer via USB-MIDI, then a keyboard connected to the 5-pin MIDI jack on the back of the unit will show up in your computer as port 3 So if you are using Cubase, for example, you would go to DEVICES > DEVICE SETUP… > MIDI > MIDI PORT SETUP and in the column labeled “In ‘All Inputs’” you want to make sure that Port 3 is marked (Motif-Rack XS MIDI IN) Hope that helps. If not, please provide translation and more information on what you are doing. |
