Ok, bear with me here, i don’t understand much about audio and midi.

I have the Motif XS6 and Cubase AI4, i have installed the proper drivers for the USB connection and set up Cubase following QUICK SETUP GUIDE: USB-MIDI .pdf file.

What i can achieve now is making changes on the computer and it changes the same setting on the XS6, so that part is good,

What i want to do now is record into cubase using Midi, and use the XS6’s sounds, at the moment all that comes out the computer speakers is a default keyboard sound.  Any ideas?

I am sure this has been discussed before, if so can you point me in the right direction.

Many thanks
Hurley

Hi Hurley,
Re: “What i want to do now is record into cubase using Midi, and use the XS6’s sounds, at the moment all that comes out the computer speakers is a default keyboard sound.  Any ideas?”
----Yes, there are lots of ideas, but unfortunately your question is a little too broad to cover on a forum, and we require a lot more information about your setup and connections before anyone can help much. However, there is information readily available to you that will help you get started. Please have a look at the “Getting Started” guide (.pdf file) that came with Cubase, set up your system for recording MIDI, and then do the recording tutorials. After that, you should be in a much better position to narrow the focus of your questions or to let us know exactly what you don’t understand or confuses you. We’ll do our best to help.........frank
