Does anyone have experience hooking up and ES to linux?  I’d like to connect the ES via USB to my laptop and perhaps use rosegarden or other software to edit things.

As a first step I was trying to run a virtualbox session on my ubuntu box, but I cannot seem to detect the USB identification information for the ES.  Is this information available anywhere?

Any other linux users out there?

OK, just typing my question got me started in the right direction.  When I restarted the ES connected to my machine it can now see the usb device… It’s also registered as an audio device which is intriguing… I thought it would have showed up as mass storage.

I never could get Rosegarden on SuSE to work so I gave up.
