Now that I know how to save individual voices as vstpresets (at last!) I have been converting many of my libraries to have them organized in Cubase’s MediaBay. I have come across one class A bug: - Trying to save certain sounds as VST preset crashes Cubase 5 fulminatingly. Always happens with the same voices, and it produces a vstpreset file of zero file size.
Eg. Motif ES preset data:
Artist Sound Vol.2 (http://www.yamaha.co.jp/product/syndtm/read/motif/motifxs_vol2/)
Hope this report helps to improve the next version. |

Thanks for the info. Is there anything about these Voices that are similar i.e. they all use User Arps, etc. If you find this , let us know as that would make it easier to find the isssue. |

Got it, that one was easy to find. ;) What have in common those voices is that no one has any category assigned. Giving them a category solves the problem. The bug may be located in the code that converts XS categories to MediaBay’s when creating the vstpreset file. If no category is present in the XS voice, PANG! |

Thanks, we’ll pass it on, but in the meantime if you assign a category before saving as VST preset that should work. |
