What’s cool with the new(current) OS is that mutlis can be called up via MIDI.  Thanks Yamaha!

What I’d like to see an improvement in is the MULTI browsing.  Before I suggested a MULTI search (like the voice search, or yes-even like the search you have available in the Editor).  That would be cool.

But another idea I have (which might be easier to integrate?) is for when you are jamming and just looking for inspiration and scrolling through MULTIS on the unit itself.  There’s obviously a lag and to my understanding, it is because the Rack-XS wants to load each MULTI as you scroll through it. 

Maybe if the unit would allow you to scroll through just the same, except only loading the names (text).  When you reach a MULTI you’d like to use, the user would use the encoder knob to ‘click’ and have the rest of the data load.  It might make the scrolling seem just a fluid as through the voices.  And of course another perk of that would be that your current MULTI would remain active while you scrolled.
Maybe in the next OS or next rack unit?  =)
