I must say I feel totally disappointed with the “new” sample bank, and the old as well. I’m sure that others who have had the Motif ES previously may feel a bit like me.

I really expected something new, refreshing, but the sounds are almost the same included in the Motif ES CD, or in other libraries that many of us already have bought.

What’s the reward for the loyalty customers who have switched to the new machine? old sounds? less functions in the operating system? not fully working features?

:(

I think this one is the synth voices from the ES CD reworked for the XS. Also the Synth voices from the XS loyalty that include selections from DCP libraries.

Not complaining because it’s free and I already have great sounds from the Motifmart.

Get your money back!!! :)

The most requested sounds were those that came previously… makes sense that those would be provided first. Patience is always rewarded.

Of course, if you have nothing else to do, you can always complain it passes the time…

Thank you for this new free bank, the voices with samples coming from the Es cd have been reworked for the Motif XS, in France we don’t have the loyalties program, so i’m very happy to have it now and i’m not alone.

Another time, thank you.

lol...Bad Mister....Yeah, I think I’ll complain!...Actually I got my XS off Ebay last year so I never got any of these sounds....Quite a few in this bank reminded me of an old Ensoniq VFX I used to have for some reason...The digital sounding stuff anyway....I actually like that type of sound for little stuff here and there....The moogs are nice stuff too...Definitely usable sounds in here though a little on the pricey side...lol....ZR

I’m disappointed as well. And if my observations are correct the most requested sounds on this subforum alone are the T2 brass/trumpets/sax/strings articulations. Where are those...? Even Korg M3 users got brass sounds with articulations comparable to T2.

One would think that during this “global economy crisis” (which was even mentioned by AB in the video) Yamaha (YCJ I guess?) would understand that people won’t buy a Tyros just to get those sounds. Especially after Korg did their part.

I would have to agree with JOTE..
I’d much rather have the trumpets, saxes, pan flutes and the other natural sounds.
I understand you sell the brass packages, but I’m sure that they don’t have the Latin brass styles that I need. Latin music used the trumpet and saxes a little differently than most other music. The technique is a lot different than orchestral or jazz (eventhough the basic idea and elements are alike) and most of the other trumpet styles in the Motif.
I am not a trumpet player myself, but I would say that the salsa and merengue trumpets are played, sempre forte forzando?

Most of the brass patches are like this, but none of the trumpets are.. The closest that come to this is the bright trumpets… but still not good enough…

As primarily being a on-stage-user I welcome these synth sounds. I like synth sounds and have enough realistic brass sounds by now (I always have to play brass and strings, but the only one that will cut through a mix are the synth brass and string sounds).

There are actually some sounds in this bank of which I was afraid I had to program them myself, and I am lazy you see :-) So thank you for the help.

Those are in the XSpanded Sample Bank 1. You should download those and check them out.
