I just heard that the UAW walked out of negotiations with GM when asked to give concessions on workforce. GM is supposed to report to congress tomorrow to answer to conditions, one of which is to bring workforce down to match foriegn auto co’s workforce (and pay). But guess who isnt playing nice now?

Dukester ought to eat this up :o

....not really. This is the direction things will be going with this administration. Unions will be given enough leverage to compromise the enterprise system. Right now, it’s auto. Soon to come Steel and Construction. “Right to Work States” will be invaded by unions who will get the bids on infrastructure projects.

I have consistantly said the part of the problem in the auto industry is union influence. They don’t seem to get that if the auto industry goes under, so do the jobs and all of their contracts. The contracts are over reaching and offer too many rewards for “no production”. This coupled with the government impossing their contrived resolutions on “green cars” will be the undoing of the industry from a “business” standpoint. But have no fear! The government will take it over and the “foreign” companies operating in “Right to Work States” will soon have certain restrictions put on them as well.

This administration intends to stamp out competition and counter views to their agenda. They are out to kill free enterprise under the disguise of “progressive thinking”.

BTW....won’t be hanging out here much anymore. I’ll “follow” but keep my Christian/Conservative/Republican views to myself. I’ll be making way for the “New Dogma” that is unfolding.
Peace.

Duke,

That is NOT what I wanted to hear!  Your the anchor rope that keeps the balloon full of hot air from floating away.

I’ll bet the pressure will eventually build to a point where you will simply burst if you do not “chime in”....looking forward to that time.
