Hello,
I am a proud owner of a pre-owned moxf6 keyboard and a new member to this great community.

I am having a great time learning basic keyboard skills and everything I can about the moxf6.
I have come to an impasse trying to find a way to play a custom performance patch over top of a drum track I created in song mode.

I dont want to use a pre recorded arpeggio.
I know I can play a voice over a song but I cannot figure out how to play a performance over the top of a song.

Is there an easier way about this?
What I want to do is creat my own drum track and play over top of the drum track.

Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the forum.

Your Performance can be copied to a Song, using a Mixing Job.
See the MOXF Reference Manual, pages 120-121,
[F3]COPY > [SF3]PERFORM

Also see pages 114-115 (Mixing Play),
[F4]TEMPLATE > [SF2]PERFORM

Thanks for the reply.

I think I’m not describing very well why I want to do.

I tried making a drum loop using two tracks in the pattern record mode.
When I followed instructions I found online to convert the pattern to an arpeggio,
It only makes one of the two tracks an arpeggio.

All I am trying to do is play while in performance mode because I want to use the custom performance patch I made and play along to a custom drum patch.

I know this has to be easy but I’m struggling figuring it out.

You’re welcome. Let’s try again…

You have to specify which Tracks to use for the Arp . See Creating an Arpeggio on page 125 of the MOXF Reference Manual.

Well, that’s not the same as “play[ing] a performance over the top of a song”.  :-)

Once you create the Arp as you want it, then one Part of the Performance should use the appropriate Drum Voice with that Arp applied. That will leave three Parts available for your custom Performance.

However, if your custom Performance already uses all four Parts, then what you want to do can’t be done. In that case, see my previous post.

Thanks for your help.
I think the issue is I am using multiple tracks and when I save as an arpeggio,
it wants to use only one track.

I will have to create a pattern on a single track.

I hate to repeat myself, but…
You have to specify which Tracks to use for the Arp. See Creating an Arpeggio on page 125 of the MOXF Reference Manual.

Up to four Tracks can be used. Up to 16 different notes can be used.

Please read the manual.

Thanks for your clarification.
After watching a YouTube vid on making an arpeggio
I didn’t realize 4 tracks could be selected.

Thanks!
