Hey guys..new member here

So i have a RME babyface pro sound card(only 2 line inputs) Motif XF6 and a MODX6.I use motif xf vst to in cubase for my audio productions.

What i want is to use and record both these keyboards at the same time.

I work with 48kHz normally.So i cant use MODX as an audio interface since it only supports 44.1.So is there a way to do this without spending more on a sound card or a pre amp?

I tried
MODX audio-out -> Motif xf audio-in

Sound is coming through from the Motix xf vst But there no way to record modx audio-in within Cubase since motif app work as a vsti.

Welcome to the forum.

With the XF’s main outputs connected to the Babyface’s line inputs, any audio source (such as the MODX’s output) connected to the XF’s A/D INPUT should also be available - the XF serves as a mixer.

This support article might help:

For use with the MODX output, the Mic/Line setting in Utility mode should be “line”.

Just in case…
The A/D INPUT jacks are TS type - don’t use TRS cables.

Yes i can record the XF
What i do is i open the motif vst and record 16 midi tracks then export it in real time in cubase as audio.
I can hear the audio from modx But there is no way to route motif line/mic input in the motif vst.

I have also connected the MODX to the PC as well.Cubase recognizes it even.I can open a midi track route the midi out to modx then record it..but getting the audio recorded is the problem.
