Hope someone can assist me with “correcting"out of sync click / metronome in Song Mode of XS after the count in measures and actual recording starts. The click clicks out of sync with the ARP.

Secondly, I have difficulty understanding how to SAVE data to USB. The Sequencer Memory is full and I want to clear up space. Also, how do I load saved data (voice, pattern, song or pattern) without overwriting anything that I don’t intend to overwrite?

Thanks for your help

Wilfried

There were some timing problems with early versions of the XS OS (operating system). The first thing to do is determine which OS version is installed on your XS.

To check the OS version…
Press and release the [UTILITY] button to get into Utility mode.
Then press [UTILITY], [ ^ ](Cursor Up) and [F1] buttons at the
same time. Check the Firmware Version.

Which OS version does your XS have? (The most recent XS OS is version 1.60)

Secondly, I have difficulty understanding how to SAVE data to USB.

Sequencer data can be saved to a USB flash drive in three Types of files. An “All” (X0A) file includes all User data, which includes Songs and Patterns. Just Songs can be saved in an “All Song” (X0S) file, while just Patterns will save to an “All Pattern” (X0P) file.

Details are in the XS Owner’s Manual, beginning on page 278.

The Sequencer Memory is full and I want to clear up space.

Once you’ve saved your sequences (and verified that the data is correctly saved), you can delete data for particular Songs (or Patterns), or all 64 Songs (or Patterns). Song Jobs begin on page 195 of the Owner’s Manual - see [F6] Song Jobs 03: Clear Song on page 207 for details. Pattern Jobs begin on page 222 of the Owner’s Manual - see [F6] Pattern Jobs 04: Clear Pattern on page 227-228 for details.

Also, how do I load saved data (voice, pattern, song or pattern) without overwriting anything that I don’t intend to overwrite?

If an “All” file is loaded, all User data will be overwritten. However, individual Voices, Performances, Songs or Patterns can be loaded to specific User locations, which will overwrite only the particular location. Loading details begin on page 280 of the Owner’s Manual. There’s the option of loading a single User Voice Bank at a time - see:

If you have specific questions about any of the procedures in the Owner’s Manual, just ask.
