Is there a way to load new libraries onto the flash drives without overwriting user data? I directed the user data to fl1 and i lost my user 1 bank of presets. Where can i direct an all withiut systems folder without losing other things i need? Help.

Welcome to the forum.

Loading a new library will always overwrite at least one of the four User Voice banks. The flash modules don’t store such data, only digital audio (samples, etc.).

When the XF is new, or after a factory reset, Voice bank USER1 has unique Voices - the remaining three User Voice banks contain copies of Voices from the eight Preset banks. Therefore it’s usually best to avoid loading a library to USER1. Which other bank is preferable, if any, depends on what you may have previously loaded that you don’t want to overwrite.

If there’s a User Voice bank you can safely overwrite, then I suggest using load Type “1bankvoice”. See pages 243-244 of the XF Reference Manual (https://usa.yamaha.com/files/download/other_assets/4/323564/motifxf_en_rm_a0.pdf).

Saving an “All” before loading anything will protect your own data from mishaps.
