Hello all,
I have a XF6 at home and play a XF8 at church and have noticed that the concert grand piano voice sounds quite different on the xf8. Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a way to brighten up my xf6 piano voices?

Thanks in advance!

Welcome to the forum.

Presuming you’re referring to factory Preset Voices…
The Voices, piano and otherwise, are identical in the XF6/7/8. What you’re hearing is due to either sound system differences or (likely) key velocity. The dynamics of the XF8’s fully weighted keybed are different than the synth-action type in the XF6 or 7.

See http://www.motifator.com/index.php/forum/viewthread/480723/
for help with key velocity, etc.

Right on playing an 88 version and 61 keys is different. You get a different tone fuller tone playing an 88 version and the sound system also will make a difference if it not EQ properly.  In church the Preset piano voice sound a a bell at the end of each chord..I think its my ear still looking for a good piano sound and I m always tweaking..
