I’m wondering if someone has a cheat sheet with sequential steps laid out showing how to solve these three issues:

1. How to make a program change in a SMF I loaded into the sequencer of my XS7 (SMF created in my computer using MuseScore).  I assign the voice I want but when I hit rewind and play, the voice reverts back to an unwanted default voice.  My understanding is that a program change is what fixes that, but I don’t know the steps to do that.  I’ve tried but with no luck.

2. This issue is similar to above except that the voice I want to assign is a “click” from a drum kit to track 10 not a standard voice such as piano.  I understand this is a little trickier because it’s not just the whole voice but a certain key on the keyboard that plays the particular “click” sound from a drum kit that I want to assign to track 10. I know the drum kit and the note on the piano that plays the sound I want, but again, I’m unable to figure this out.

3.  Once I get the two issues above resolved, I want to be able to play along with the SMF.  I’ve created a Performance that I want to use to play along with the SMF.  I understand I actually play along with the SMF while in Song mode not Performance or Voice mode, but I don’t know how to put the voices from the Performance into the SMF in Song mode. 
*I also want to play along with a SMF using a single Voice but I assume the process is the same as from playing along from a Performance.

Thanks for sending the article.  It seems to relate somewhat to what I’m trying to do but I’m not sure if it pertains to specifically what I want.  I’m not sure because it’s way too complicated and doesn’t jive with info I was told by a Yamaha the support guy a while back.  I’m hoping for a “recipe” type set of step-by-step instructions where I don’t have to understand why something is working, but just follow the steps and it solves the problem.  Thanks anyhow!
