Hi

Is it possible to load an 200 Mb X0V file into the Motif XF flash. I have tried but it seems that the file is trying to load to the 128 Mb user, and then I get the message Memory full. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum.

The X0V file extension indicates it’s from a Motif XS. Samples in an XS are stored in SDRAM User memory. The XF will always load samples from a file to the same memory location as it was in the Motif the file was made on, unless you redirect it.

The XF Load options are at the lower right of the File screen display. The attachment shows the default settings, which are…
USR > USR
FL1 > FL1
FL2 > FL2

In order to redirect data which originally was in SDRAM to a flash module, the USR setting needs to be changed. To have it load to a flash module in the first XF slot…
USR > FL1
FL1 > FL1
FL2 > FL2

To load to a module in the second slot…
USR > FL2
FL1 > FL1
FL2 > FL2

Thanks for the answer.

Problem solved. I changed the file name from X0V to X0A and it works.

...under normal circumstances there should be no reason to change the file extension. Why did you feel the need to do it?
