In the Data List manual, p 51, it states that 6 of the Performance Part buttons (3-8) can be assigned to Cubase controls ("Assignable functions
For information on the default functions, refer to the “Reference Manual” PDF document.") I find no mention of how to assign Cubase control functions to these buttons in the Reference Manual. How is it done?

Welcome to the forum.

Remote mode information is found on pages 70-71 of the MX Reference Manual. Concerning the Control Templates, see the second NOTE on page 71.

Hi. Thanks for that. But the Data List I quoted is about the buttons on the right of the panel, usually used to select Performance Parts, but which supposedly can be assigned to control Cubase functions such as transport. PP70-71 of the Reference Manual don’t mention this possibility - they’re about the 4 rotary knobs on the left, and templates to control VSTi’s.

Thanks. I would never have guessed that the assigning is done in Cubase, not the MX. Now I know.
