Hi-

I’ve got an ES8 with a display that has gradually gotten worse. Display divides into four equal quadrants, and only the lower-left displays correctly.  (Tried to attach image, but post isn’t happening somehow.) This happened occasionally over the last several years, but went away on its own. Now, it’s permanent.

I’ve found the guys at Syntaur, which seems to have replacement parts. (https://syntaur.com/yamaha_motif.html)

However, I can’t seem to find a service manual that shows how to do the work, and Google isn’t helping (though there is a video for keypad servicing of ES6/ES7).

I"d love your opinions on:
- Whether this is a display issue, or other;
- Whether this is serviceable by a user that’s reasonably mechanical, and has done basic electronic servicing before (even up to minor soldering, though this looks like a screws & plugs job).

Comments?
