Hi, i need help setting up my MOX8 with cubase AI 5.1. Operative system Windows 10 x64 (updated) Already installed:
-Yamaha Steinberg usb driver 1.9.9
Yamaha extensions are not installed or cubase is unable to find them. I cant select the yamaha as a midi device as adviced in all the setting up guides i spend the last couple of days reading of. So i cant get transport buttons to work on cubase, sf1.sf2...etc are not working either. And of course cannot see the midi extension config device. YAMAHA MOX6/MOX8 is not listed in REMOTE DEVICES Notice i want to control cubase, not using the keyboard as vst controller (at the moment) I think ive got all the config settings as expected (all midi just for yamaha usb port 1 etc) since i followed bad_mister guides and posts about the configuration
VST standalone editor works and sync with the keyboard (so this seems ok) it actually works also with cubase as host
edit: I can navigate cubase tracks with the MOX8 keyboard arrow keys What else could be wrong? I cant figure out myself, so please help |

The version of MOX Remote Tools you’ve installed (1.1.6) supports Cubase 9. Cubase 7 and 8 are shown as NONcompliant. The first version of MOX6/MOX8 Remote Tools that worked with Windows 10 was v1.1.5, but even Cubase 6 was “NONcompliant” with the included extensions, let alone Cubase AI5. See http://motifator.com/index.php/forum/viewthread/472088 I suggest that you contact Steinberg, and see if they can help you.
