Is that really a good idea? I mean, you probably have spent good money on your MOX. Contact Yamaha Support before doing so! -Max |

Before doing anything, make sure it’s not your cables. One time, I used a right-angled guitar cable on one output channel and it didn’t work. There was a slight difference in the diameter and length of the plug. That means nothing here, but it does mean cabling must be ruled out first. In fact, is it not true that if the keyboard works fine through headphones, the entire output stage is fine? I’m not sure on this point. Perhaps someone else can chime in on this. - Lee |

No. The MOX has your two L/R output jacks and also a headphones jack. They are separate. The headphone jack is similar to the L/Mono output jack, but I do not believe that they are related to a t. -Max |

That makes sense, Max. Thanks for clarifying that point. - Lee |

Yes, that’s pretty much true. The headphone amp inputs are connected to the main line amp outputs for L/MONO and R. Therefore, when the L/MONO and/or R outputs aren’t working, checking PHONES output is a good first troubleshooting step. If headphones work properly, there are very few parts in the MOX that could be causing the problem. The L/MONO and R jacks themselves, including their solder joints, would be prime suspects if external problems are ruled out. If headphone output has the same problem as the main line outputs, that leaves a lot more MOX circuitry where there might be a problem. |

There you go, Pino. You have a few ideas to try before getting out the chain saw and sledge hammer :). |
