I’ve heard that the Montage will let you record sequencer data but that it can’t be edited. Is this true? Who wants a sequencer that you can’t edit?

The on-board sequencer will be for recording. The data will then be edited in a DAW, such as Cubase.

Not sure i like this idea of having to move everything to DAW just to edit. It seems the Montage is a awesome step forward in sound creation and creating with . I have cubase 7.5 running on a MacBook with 16 G of ram and 512 flash drive.. One can’t get much going without the fans blasting and it overheating. Maybe i just need more training. Anyway i would love to have the sequencer capabilities in my XS in the Montage. just MHO.
