Hello, I have searched but couldn’t find all the answers I’m looking for before buying a unit. I am guitar player, and like to make my own pad/beats backing tracks to write and jame to...and the motif sounds are my favorite. From what I gather...the rack unit has to be used through a computer? Wont work as a stand alone unit triggered by a midi controller straight to powered monitor(live use) Also, ive read that it wont integrate well with my sonar pro,can I use the outs from the unit to go into a scarlett interface? Also, will this unit somehow work with an ipad air, arturia and a itrack dock? Thanks for any help! Matt |

Motif Rack XS could be use completely without having a computer. But if you intend to deeply create new sounds, than you will need computer and Editor. I’m using Rack XS either via standard 5pin MIDI and external controller or via iConnectivity MIDI interface that provide me to connect USB only controller to Rack and iPad at the same time. Alex |
