Hi. This is Gustavo. I have a question. I have a Motif XS rack MIDI connected to a Yamaha CP 40 to use as accompaniment or left hand part for keyboard to play a song. I have another keyboard (CASIO WK 3300),not MIDI connected to nothing, where I play the right hand. The song has 2 tempos or movements. The first one has a tempo of 120 and the other one a tempo of 80. The question is: how can I make the MULTI arpeggio preset chosen follow the right hand change from the first tempo to the next one in the same song. Thanks for your response.

Hello Gustavoc,
If there is a break or pause between the 2 movements would that provide you enough time to quickly switch to another arpeggio?  If yes, you could duplicate the arpeggio to the next position in the Multi and edit the tempo to 80.

Hi Stone. How do you duplicate the arpeggio to the next position in the Multi?

Hi Stone. How do you duplicate the arpeggio to the next position in the Multi?

I had hoped that by duplicating the arp to another location and editing it’s unit multiply feature you would achieve your goal. Sadly this will not work for your desired tempos.

You could copy your Multi to the next location and edit its tempo and switch multis at the proper moment if you have a break between the movements.

Or you could send a System Exclusive message to the Rack XS and change its arp tempo.
Are you familiar with System Exclusive messages and do you have a way to transmit them?

How do both alternatives would work step by step in my case? I am not familiar with System Exclusive, just have hear it, but never used it yet. Actually after the second movement I have to go back to the first one for the end. Thanks for your response if possible.
