Sorry, but it’s not clear (to me, anyway) what you’re asking.

Is it about tempo of arps in the Rack, or controlling the tempo via external sequencing, or something else?

Please describe what you need to do in more detail.

Hi, in order to use a tempo of 130, with any 4/4 beat from the rack (using the 4 parts in a layer using a single keyboard , MOTIF XS rack manual page 40), to pass this MIDI signal to a yamaha CP 40 to play it as acompaniment for a song. (The right hand is done apart with another keyboard).

I’ll place my wager from the safety of shore.

I believe he would like to set the arp tempo of his layer in the Rack XS to 130 which would be played from the CP 40. If this is the case, the information is on page 91 of the owners manual.
