I’ll have much gRADDittude for an informed answer on the following two questions:

1.  If I upgrade to Cubase 8, will I have an issue with the Motif VST Editor?

(there are posts about “synch” problems at the Steinberg forum but they appear to be with Apple systems.  Anything you can share re: Windows is appreciated)

2. If I upgrade to Cubase 8, will there be any problems with Virtual Guitarist 2?

I operate a jingle studio, and I rely heavily on the Motif and VG2 for almost everything.  This is a good time of year to upgrade, and I love the new features in Cubase 8, but I’d just like to be sure.

Hello Pete.
If it were me, I’d go to the source and ask Steinberg by way of a complimentary support request.
They would be the ones that would not be an opinion but a fact.
And I’ve received quality response and support after the purchase.

I’m a Windows C8 User. My Motif XS8 is working as a controller but not for Motif VST playback in C8. I’m not alone. It only impacts the Motif VST playback so I’ve just switched to other VSTi I have for the moment and not using the Motif as sound generator. Last word out was Yamaha have a fix coming out in January 2015.

Fingers crossed that will be so, on the bright side though I’m discovering all sorts of new sounds in my other VSTi!
