hello guys,

i really want an affordable 88keys with good hammer action and that’s lightweight (less than 20kg). it only needs to have a PIANO, EP, organ, and string sound. no need for anyhing more (i have the yamaha mm6 for other sounds).

what’s your advice?

im doing to use it as my base keyboard with a mm6 on top to perform live on gigs.

i’m not discarding the idea of getting something like a MoX88 or a s70XS or s90XS, but those are a bit expensive. can anyone help?

At Yamaha, World’s largest manufacturer of musical instruments, we make many solutions (not all solutions, but quite a few)… What else are your criteria. Does it need to be a “controller”? Mod Wheel? Pitch Bend? Give us some idea…

ill mainly use it to play the piano sounds and integrate it with my mm6 for the other sounds. the main purpose is to have a good keybed and it must me lightweight. it can come with extras (eg. pitch bend, mod wheel, controler nobs) but its not mandatory. it must have at least the ability to integrate with the computer so i can use softwares like IVORY (piano VST’s)

the main highlights are :

- graded hammer action (like on a real piano)
- Lightweight to carry for stage usage

the rest are just good extras that will defenetely come in handy

What do you guys suggest?

No. CP-series use the same keys, but MOX use GHS (synth action)

casio privia px series. i own px 150. weighted scale hammer action. it sounds better than my MOX6 in piano department. keys are on the heavy side. Really good for playing piano supports standard midi. in this price range i believe casio offers you a better keybed also better sound quality IMHO. Got mine refurbished at bestbuy for 200.
