Did you look in UTILITY it lists the PLG boards installed… What makes you think any PLG Boards are installed? ... That seems to be the obvious question, since your Motif-Rack doesn’t seem to report any.

The Motif-Rack came with no boards. Perhaps because the unit always scans the PLG slots when you turn it on YOU (mistakenly) think there are boards in there. There are not.

The “Now checking Plug-in boards....” Message is reporting what the unit does upon power up. If it finds a PLG150-series Board it will automatically load the Plug-in Bank Voices into memory for the slot containing the Board. If a PLG100 series board is detected it prepares the routing scenario for those boards.

If no boards are found you will see UTILITY screens for PLG1SYS or PLG2SYS.

Unplug and open the door on the bottom of unit, the slots are empty. If you did not pay extra for them, you probably have none. Hope that helps.

Hi thanks for reply there is a board in there I opened it up and looked I bought it used from guitar center and they evidently had no ideal it was in there. Upon power up it loads PLG2PRE1
it shows dx sounds do I assume it’s the plg150 DX? There’s no writing on the board except WAN101003. Is it supposed to read out on display somewhere as to what board it is?  Thanks

The PLG150-DX sold for $349 (msrp) back in 1997. By the time they were discontinued in 2007, they were less than half that.
