Does the MX range allow users to set up muti-splits using the note-limit functionality that the motifs have ? Or, is it just a simple split keyboard / layer thing? thanks Tony |

Yes it does. You can, with the VycroMX Editor set as many of the sixteen PARTS as you desire on the same MIDI channel, and set the NOTE LIMITS per PART to create complex split/layers a you require. These can then be STORED to the MX and recalled whenever you desire. Go to http://VycroMX.com Download the free Editor
from the Quick Access functions on the front panel it is just quick and easy split and layer thing. However, those who want to delve deeper are those who connect the MX to their computer. That is part of the concept of the MX-series, it makes your overtaxed computer more powerful and you can get at more if the MX’s power when you make that simple USB connection between the two. Connected to the computer you can get at many of the powerful features of the hardware engine, via the software. It is a truly a hardware/software integrated product. The single USB cable is not only MIDI but audio generated by the MX. When it is described as the Motif XS engine, by making much of the more in depth programming functions accessible via the computer, you can make the hardware purchase much friendly in price… This is the genius behind the MX… Connect to a computer and you begin to see the MXs true power… And trust me it is quite a synth engine! |
