I own a Motif ES and really like the instrument. I don’t use computers (on stage) and was experimenting with a setup.
I connected the Motif ES with my Mopho Keys. In pattern mode, I managed to route the DSI through audio IN and use the Motif effects on it - very nice! My question is: is this a weird setup to choose for in a live setup? The DSI outs are only connected to the audio in from the Motif ES, so the DSI sound comes out of the main out of the Motif… Would you advise this setup or would you not?

My second question is: I want to add a JP8000 to the setup.
I want to play it as one of the 16 tracks (say track 3), using the arpeggiator of the Motif (the JP acting as a sound module).
I managed to record a track, but using the arpeggiator does not seem to work. So: what do I have to do to send the ARP of the Motif to the JP (in ‘track’ display I of the pattern mode I set the int switch ‘off’ and the ext swithc ‘on’; I try to get the arp working on the JP sound the best result was the arp working but with the Motif voice on track 3 playing as well...).

Hope my setup quesionts are clear. To get the picture: the Motif is used as basic unit, using the DSI through Audio IN (with effects of Motif) and one part/channel for sending phrase/arp info to the JP. Any advise would be welcome! Thanks.
