Hi all,

Some migth know about MidiYoke or LoopBe…
Does there exist some driver or small tool which does the same but for audio instead of midi (for MS XP 32 bit) ?
(one stereo-channel redirection would be enough).

Thanks.

Hmmm, if you now how MidiYoke works, it would be easier to understand what I’m looking for… I’ll try to explain.

When playing mididata from a computer, you must select an (external) instrument that will recieve the data. If, for example, you wont to check what data is send (within the same computer) you need a midi-loopback driver like MidiYoke. One softwaretool sends the mididata to an output of MidiYoke. A second midi-software recieves that data by selecting an midi-input of MidiYoke.
This can be usefull for many things like checking data from a synth-editor, etc.

Well this process could also be usefull with the audio : audio goes to an ‘output’ of the ‘audio-loopback-driver’ and another tool can then record this audio, by selecting the ‘input’ on that driver.

(As you can see, if people now how MidiYoke works, it would be easier to tell what I’m looking for).

Apparently Jack is now available for Windows (used to be only Mac or Linux).

meatballfulton, that ‘Jack-software’ seems to be usefull for this.
I’m gonna try it. Yet, looking at the tut’s… quit a lot of coding. Jack seems to use commandline stuff, but I’ll need to find out more. (MidiYoke is quit easy : select an input and output. But, there probably wont be many alternatives for audio.)

Thanks.
