I’ve been watching some demos showing the Cubase AI integration with the MOX, as I’m soon going to decide if I go for the Motif XS Rack or the MOX.

Of course, if you already own Cubase 5.5 - you are already upgraded and your experience will only be further enhanced!!! You will need to make sure you download and install the EXTENSIONS: “MOX6/MOX8 REMOTE TOOLS v1.1.0” http://www.yamahasynth.com/downloads/drivers_software/synthesizers/mox/extensions/
“The MOX6/MOX8 Remote Tools V1.1.0 consists of the following software components.
MOX6/MOX8 Remote Editor is software which lets you edit/create Control Templates for the MOX6/MOX8 Music Synthesizer. MOX6/MOX8 Extension is software component that enables you to use the MOX6/MOX8 along with Cubase series (version 5.1.1 or later). The MOX6/MOX8 Remote Tools Installer installs these two software components.” |

If the plugins are coded to present their parameters for VST control, then yes. Not all plugins present their parameters, however. From the MO-X manual: “Up to 50 Control Templates of VST Instruments can be stored to internal memory of this instrument. With these, you can use the MOX6/MOX8 to control various software synthesizers. Use the MOX6/MOX8 Remote Editor for editing the Control Template.” The Remote Editor manual can be found here |
