why the topics against Motif are so attractive ? compared to others topics ? There is a psychical or technical explanation ?. For example the topic named “ The alternative to XS/XF junk “ have 2400 views compared to other topics that have only 200-400 views .

I guess people are eager to hear why is someone ranting against the keyboard they have.

If the topic is named after something that hasn’t got much to do with you
or your interests… or something you can contribute to - then you don’t even read it.

They are so attractive because invariably awesome pictures of Yanni doing his thing will pop up.

Like this one, for instance…

Yanni.png

...can you imagine you are going for a dip in the lake, thinking about all the ways in which the Motif XF has wronged you and how great it would be make a thread about it on Motifator.com, and then you look over and see a Mustachioed Yanni ready to pounce?

One thing is for sure, you would certianly forget all the ways in which the Motif XF has harmed you and get on to more important things, like escaping from Yanni… IN A FLASH.

You then realize how awesome the FLASH memory is on the XF, and how quickly you were able to break free from Yanni’s embrace because of it (if you had an older Motif XS, it would have taken a few minutes).

You finally decide that making another post about how bad the Motif XF is maybe not helpful, especially since it saved you from the clutches of a wet Yanni.

The end.

While I don’t listen to his music, I personally have nothing against the man (I mean he’s sold millions of records worldwide, so people obviously dig his stuff - more power to him).  It’s his moustache I find hilarious.

Oh that haha - yea. Well, If I’m not mistaking, he did shave it off for the latest “Voices” tour.

Guess those hot vocals demanded not to be so close to such a bush :)

JTR receives the “Epic Post of the Week” award!  Well done!

Obligatory on-topic material:  I think that the majority of people looking here are looking for real, good information on the Yamaha Motif XF in order to decide whether they want to purchase one or not.  As such, when someone says something really over the top negative they’re going to read it, as not to waste their hard earned money.  Then they realize it’s just someone posting falsehoods or at best misinformed assumptions and it makes them mad.

I’ve yet to see someone who owns an XF post such negative things.
