Hey Yamaha. How do u spend you’re time ?.. It takes to long for you’re team to come with something new, like sound banks for example. To come up with a new poor sound bank every 3 months is completely ridiculous .

So i can’t imagine how are u spending you’re time , if NO new sound banks are made. No new synth technologies. No new synth engine for flagship.NO NEW WAVEFORMS FOR FREE. How do u spend you’re time ?. U goo fishing every day ??. U play tennis ??. Or maybe you’re team is addicted to video games ?? and there is no time for u to create something better regarding Yamaha sound expansions , WAVEFORMS, and synth technologies ??.

We have to realize that people that buy gear hardly know the existence of this forum: they go and buy the hardware they need because they are going to play tonight. They have money to buy a piece of hardware even if it is not using all recent technologies. XF seems to be reliable, many samples and persistent 2Gb are all they need. They are not as numberous as this forum’s accounts, but they are the market.

Well, now, I still wonder what did they do at Yamaha all this time. Maybe XF team is two persons that also go to work assembling pieces in the line and then also other internal jobs, I think.

Radurobert,

I do not consider you a troll, though you have expressed some big opinions which are probably not fully justified.

Now regarding my comment about “Some great songs” - you took me too generically.

I speak as a songwriter and I know that my motif has helped me write and develop some songs and some of those have been great. But its the us of the word some as opposed to ALL. Not every song I have written has been or is penned or developed using the Motif. Being a guitarist as well, some are hashed out on the guitar. Some are hashed out in my head and only when complete pulled onto a guitar or keyboard to try out.

If you are writing songs, some will be great - not all! Shame, but its true. Some will be artistically incredible and a commercial flop. Some will be mediocre and some will be great.

But my exhortation to you was to make sure you use the tools you have to their fullest. And as a result you will be happy with what you produce.

Cheers

What an utter waste of energy, this forum is a place to tease out issues about the existing capabilities of yamaha motif range and suggest ideas towards new additions. The fact this thread even exists is frustrating. When ignorant ppl come on demanding personally specific things it pisses me off. By your logic Yamaha would be making custom boards for every angry loner sitting at home crying in his bedroom about only having 49 trumpet patches instad of 50. Get a life. I have a NORD Stage EX88, Nord Wave, a MotifXS7 and Motif Rack xs. If u want Clavia’s excellent additional waveform support go buy a Clavia product to enhance your yamaha gear. I have hardware from both companies and they compliment each other. Whatever small shortcomings yamaha might currently have with post-purchase waveform support is surely cancelled by one of thier many advantages over Clavia, such as thier interaction with Steinberg products. Clavia have none of this. Are you posting complaints about that on Clavia’s company-ran tech forum? No your not, because it doesnt exist. So stop being a little bitch and taking time away from proper users of this site by posting such drivel. If you have nothing positive to add to this forum stay offline.

Ahaa so u try to offend me !.So now i will return to u what u just give me.))Be prepared.  If u think that this is an utter waste of energy i must come to the conclusion that u have no energy resources. U are borne tired ?..So u have all this gear for what ?? . U try to make music ? crying in you’re bedroom ??)). if u are smart enough, u can understand that this is not a personally specific demand..I think that many users want this because they don’t have you’re gear and they can’t afford so many keyboards like u ...So i see that u are very proud for having all the keyboards that u want.So now u boast of with you’re gear in front of some simple users by being very haughty. That’s non senses. Do u think that everyone can afford you’re gear ??. Or what. So u speak in name of all users. U are some kind of dictator lizard ?.Others can’t afford nord wave..So stop being a little bitch and taking time away from proper users of this site by posting such egocentric drivel. If you have nothing positive to add to this forum stay offline.)))

Did u ever consider I can afford to have these boards because i dont waste my time complaining about things that stop me making music. Im 21 and have gigged 6/7 nights a week for 3 years to get this gear so dont go throwing your egocentric crap at me. I work hard. I spend time playing with what i have instead of complaining about what i dont have. Maybe if you spent less energy complaining and more energy playing your instrument you’d be able to afford it too. And im not trying to offend you, you’re doing it to yourself. You talk about how you ‘support’ yamaha by buying their gear so therefore you have the right to get whatever you want (to act like Clavia). Thats like saying you’d walk into McDonalds and get a Big Mac but then decide its your right to make it taste like a Burgerking meal? And why must you raise ridiculous sci-fi fantasy crap like dictator lizards? What does that have to do with anything? Listen i couldnt be bothered continuing this so do whatever u have to do to keep u happy, i suppose thats all that matters. Just bear in mind that most ppl use this site to advance their knowledge...take it easy with the reckless rants, we’re lucky to have the site at all

Ahaa! Do u like boxing ?. Ok . Let’s play round two .Ding !!. First of all i have enough hardware (and i said that in many topics). I have XS, Virus Ti and Moog Voyager (hate because of mono..). My sound card is Audio Fire 8. I also have 4 monitors..2 are HS80M(crazy love that) .. etc.(and i said that in many topics). But i don’t boast of with my gear in front of some simple users like a reptilian dictator. So i’m not spending any energy because i express some thoughts. U speak non senses. What energy ??. Are u so tired ? . Or what ?

U can’t compare Big Mac (the sandwich) with Motif XS. )))). That’s absurd. But if u find that Big Mac have not enough cheese , than is you’re right to be mad or whatever u need to express .Depends.But if u are docile & tractable u will accept the product without any remorse. NOW!!. I find that Motif XS don’t have enough cheese for me. In fact all i’m trying to say is that i need a better support regarding sound sources. I repeated to many times . They give my the board so i have 1 giga Ram installed for storing 1000 waveforms. XS was projected to retain 1000 waveforms , BUT THEY DON’T OFFER THOSE KIND OF WAVEFORMS to fit that number. So yesss ! the technology is very attractive.. to have you’re own favorites 1000 waveforms. The number counts. But if u try to install XSxpand pack, u will see that the size of that pack is to big (400 mb) compared to the small number of waveforms they offer (aprox 100 only) and i like only a few of them. Is not 400 mb - 400 waveforms. Is 400 mb - 100 waveforms.

That’s why i’m referring to Clavia, because they offer waveforms that can fit much better the XS ram memory , because Clavia waveforms are LESS IN SPACE and BIG IN NUMBER (not big in space - less in number). So yes !  i will be glad to see another XSxpand pack to measure 900 mb and to offer 900 waveforms. How about that ?. What rants ?? .What ?. I have nothing to do with any rants. ................. So now comes round three ?. Or what ??.

hmmm. Why i have so many views??. Maybe because I’m right ??

I’m not yet but i feel that i can become one
i don’t have any confidence in any advice, because is better to search for my self the true.

Why do you ask people to identify themselves as “hit music producers” then, if you don’t really need to know anyone’s opinion? Is this just a way to undermine your opponent’s opinion? I suppose I’d better quit arguing with you from now on, you seem like just another troll.

noo i never ask people to identify themselves as “hit music producers”. But that’s the standard.  in fact i personally, try to compare The Motif XS sounds with many Hit songs sounds. So for that i apply different efx in Sonar . I make different mix mastering experiments trying to imitate some Hit sounds..... I repeat > If i find out that you’re advices is ok, then i will have confidence in that advice.

Don’t be offended because i don’t agree with you’re advice. there is nothing wrong in that. I don’t understand why you protect you’re opinion ? and u fight against me launching enemy opinions. Ahaaa is like in any other sport . So do u like Box ??.

So i already have my opinion and is very hard for u to change that , to change my opinion u must prove me by using facts and not words. For example u can upload one of you’re special sound bank with pro waveforms, for free.

Why not ?. Clavia offers thousands of waveforms for free. Why not for free ?. I recently visited Clavia site and i was shocked. So from that moment i can’t understand how a little company like Clavia can offer thousandsssss of waveforms for free (i think they offer more than 1000 waveforms..). Why Clavia is doing that ?. ..If u tell me that i don’t need more waveforms, then why Clavia is doing that ?? offering more than 1000 waveforms ?

Many companies offer lots of free waveforms or soundbanks because it is the only way they can sell the synths they have made. There have been many synths in the last twenty years that were so horrible thet the only way they could be sold was the manufacturer had to offer tons of “free” stuff to get people to buy them.

Interesting idea. Maybe you’re ideea is 25% true. But i must correct you’re statement.
Many companies offer lots of free waveforms or soundbanks because it is the best way they can sell the synths they have made (is not the only way). Nord Wave appear to be used by a lot of music producers so i don’t think is really the case. And Kurzweil is the only workstation that don’t offer any waveforms or sound banks. So if i take you’re statement for serious this means Kurzweils are the best , because they don’t need any additional waveforms. Maybe…

“LOL. Yeah, good old FoleyCore was such a funny Romanian lad… I miss him. Not. “

I was thinking the same thing. I haven’t been here in a looooong time but started reading the thread and wasn’t long before thinking “This guy is a foreign Foleycore”.
