How quickly you forget - prices are typically very friendly at introduction and then go up… remember? (I guess it’s good if you have no memory for such things then you don’t have regrets that you may have missed out on the early specials when you change your mind later to purchase) |

And if it did stay cheaper, than what a blessing...why complain? Sometimes things do go down in prices and you get more for your money, just look at computers… Bad Mister, We like low prices...! You are right about introductory prices. Just look at the Tyros 3 which I believe was under $4000 street price when it was released and now is about $4600...way above my reach. I would love if prices were brought down after products were introduced not brought up! Definitely no complaints from this user about lower prices. Blessings Bad Mister |

Considering the capability and new features of the XF, I’d say its a great value. I don’t go for the initial offerings, even if the price is lower, because I have to save $$$ to buy new equipment. No credit cards, thank you. Anyway, I would rather wait until a OS update is introduced before geting a new instrument. As good as Yamaha’s first OS versions are, the later updates take care of problems that buyers experience after using the instruments. By the time I put together the $$$ to buy a new KB, the prices have stabilized and the product is more mature. Dealers will “make a deal” if you walk in with cash in hand ready to buy. actually we don’t - low prices mean cheap product, not tested well, built with crappy materials, made in China or stolen. |
