Hi all, I recently bought the mLAN16e2 card for my Motif XS with the intention to use Audacity (to record several tracks from the sequence simultaneously as Audio Tracks - The Cubase AI4 I got is installed on another computer, so I can’t use it more than one PC). The issue I have is that on Audacity although you can select the mLAN as the audio input device (and it displays all 16 channels when you select it in Preferences), only the first 2 tracks can be recorded/played back on. I tried selecting all 16 tracks as the input tracks, and Audacity says “Error opening device - try changing the sample rate...” or something like that. I’m using Audacity 1.2.6 on a PC with Windows 7 Professional (64-bit). I’m using the latest Steinberg/Yamaha FW WDM drivers. The computer I’m using has a 4-pin firewire socket (motherboard-based, I have an ASUS P6T Deluxe motherboard). There’s also a 6-pin firewire socket on there too, but would only using the 4-pin socket be the cause of this issue? What effect would that have anyway? (Of course the cable I used is a 6-pin to 4-pin type). Please help :) Thanks Bryan |
