Hello all,

This is my first post here! I heard the other day on another forum that the XS8 has been through several CHIP changes over the past couple of years! Is this true? I heard that bad CHIPS were in earlier models and later replaces with better (Japanese) ones?

I got my XS8 in December 0f 2008 and it seems that I may have the bad ones, if this is the case.

Also, I would like to know how you guys are running your Motif’s in the studio. Is anyone happy with the stereo analog outs? I wanted to try the Digital out to my RADAR, but have not figured a way, nor do I know if they make digital cables like 10-15 feet long.

Thanks in advance for any help!

Peace.

Digital Cables of the Ethernet type can be run large distances. I think the XS has an ethernet connection port. Does the RADAR?

Cheers

Hi Wellie!

Thank you for the reply! I have to check my RADAR to see! My studio just had a terrible flood of 6 inches all over the studio on Saturday and I am in turmoil! I will check and get back to you.

Here is more on the flood from Gearslutz.com : http://www.gearslutz.com/board/high-end/474915-zythum-studios-destroyed-flood-i-am-wiped-out.html

Thank you for the help!

John
