In my home studio I play my MO8 sitting on a high quality office chair with casters. I use the lowest setting of a double X stand. I have a second tier with a midi controller that I use for organ sounds. I have the height of chair and keyboard just about right. The casters let me slide left or right a little as needed. Typically my left hand is doing arp type bass lines on MO8 while right hand is doing chords and melodies on midi controller. I am starting to jam with others in a rehearsal studio. What I’m wondering is what to do about a seat. The rehearsal studio provides normal chairs, which are both too low and limit reach slightly due to being stationary. I’m assuming I just need to go out and buy a portable bench type seat, but wanted to hear from others before I do, and any recommendations as to brand and model. Thanks, Norman |

Try standing. It really can be quite nice as it provides maximum mobility. A low profile (flat) sustain pedal is a must. The piano styles do not work well when standing. Al least not for me. You can also buy a portable bench, or ‘throne’. They adjust to different heights. Bob |

I used to use a large drummers throne but now I stand. :) |
